On to 2015!

Happy new year!ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ

Rather than improving, I guess I just tried a lot of things in 2014....

Hello! How did you spend your new year? A party with friends? Watching fireworks with family? Well I spent it by watching a drama. Not really exciting, I know. Somehow, new year has became less and less festive. Is this what they call as getting old? (lol)

What do you think of 2014? 2014 has been such a buuuusy year for me- to the point I had trouble finding art for my 2014 summary of art. I even only managed to find pencil doodles on March! How disappointing, me.

 

Anyway, moving on to what had happen to me in 2014:

 

January

I remember I realized that I was in love with love (cute shoujo mangas, I blameee you) this month. Now, I still think love is an amazing thing, but I'm not as obsessed as before. Guess who got their chuunibyou a little  bit late? (lol) By the way, the drawing is for a group I'm in. The line was drawn by my friend, Snow, and I colored it.

February

This was an assginment for my art class. We had to make a collage painting. It was my first time doing this, but I enjoyed it veeery much! I screwed up a bit, but I still like it so much. The painting was exhibited in my school's art exhibition later.

March

Exactly as it says: EXAMS. It was only a mid-term exam, but I guess I was in a slump so I didn't do anything besides lazying around. No, not even studying. To the point I got 20 for physics. I'm really sorry, me.... I kinda regret it now, but whatever.

My birthday yaaaaay. But uh, I guess I didn't celebrate it by drawing a "happy birthday me" art because I only managed to find this boy for April. The boy, Shatyo, is an original character I created for a character design competition. I didn't win, but it was really fun designing him. He's a boy who could turn into mahou shounen by using a cheap, plastic flip flop he had found one day. (lol)

May

I started the Bethari series! Yay. Please ignore the fact that I haven't updated it in forever. To be honest, I have finished writing the story. But I'm too lazy to draw the cover art so... HAHA. For those who have been waiting for an update, I beg your forgiveness. If anyone even following the series, that is. (lol)

June

HOLY IT'S HOLIDAY! (Bad pun, I know.) The month was such an emotional roller coaster, I guess?? I didn't get into top ten in my class... and I got heartbroken.... and basically, I was so full of emotion to the point I managed to finish the comic I should have finished at February!! HAHA. Anyway, you can check the comic out here!! Heheh. I know this is such a shameless self-advertising but I'm really proud of it, you know!! Let me brag for a bit, will you? ( •̀ω•́ )σ

 

July

It's still holiday.  (★^O^★) I tried watercolor with cheap (very cheap!!) paint on normal paper. Since it's holiday, my parents wouldn't give me pocket money so I literally had no money. Spending most of holiday at home doing mundane things.... The watercolor experiments were really fun though!! ❤ ❤ 

 

August

School has started. I'm back to my never ending busy routine again. I became a 11th grader, and suddenly the assignments piled up. Got really no time for my self.... For I, only managed to find this doodle I had colored. Sigh. I can't remember anything special here... except that I got a bit disappointed that my friend moved away.

September

A chibi commission. Anyway, the commission is still open!! You can get a chibi with simple background for 100 dA point. Bisa dibayar lewat pulsa sebesar Rp 10 ribu btw. This time, I only accept payment with this method. As soon as I have my paypal account, I'm going to accept payment with real money. :] You can check the example of the commission here. October

Joined the #inktober for the very first time!. I didn't post it neither on dA nor here, but you can see it in my tweets on twitter. It was a looot of fun. I even thought that I'm more skilled in ink than before, even if it's just a little bit. I love ink medium more than I did. The #inktober made me draw at least once a day, which I should admit refreshing. I really need to spare time for drawing.

November

Another busy month. There were a lot of assignments with deadlines close to each other. And since I was such a procrastinator, I... ended up had to do many things at once which actually not effective at all. (lol) I should be more organized buuut. By the way, the drawing is, again, for a group I'm in. The line was drawn by my junior Mai, and I colored it. If anyone ever wonder why I keep doing the coloring, that's because... I can't do clean lineart. (lol) A lot people has been asking me how to paint, but well, actually I don't really know. I'm just... being lazy.... Err, yeah.

December

The second week of December is finals week in my school. So, I tried to focus on studying which resulted in no drawing for the first half of December. It was worth it, though. My rapport card is all good (I got As this time, phew!). And then it's holiday but I don't feel any different except my sleeping schedule got messed up very much. A tragedy happened but I guess I've gotten over it now. Finally, I spent the new year by re-watching a drama I had watched in my elementary days. (lol)

2014 is such an eventful year for me, though by reading my summary of 2014, you won't really feel so. But seriously. A lot of things had happened, either it's a bad thing or good thing. Though I should say, the most eventful month of the year is June. Why? That's because... because I got my heart broken that month!! Haha. But seriously. It's my first time, and even though I felt sad, now I think it was really funny.

 

I didn't make any resolution for 2014, so I can't do the resolution check like what other people do. (lol) I guess I'm going to make one for 2015.

lymi's 2015 Resolution:
1. Get into the top ten in my class.
2. Finish the Bethari series.
3. Draw at least two serious drawing each month so I won't have trouble for 2015 art summary. (lol)

 I know it's not much, but I'm just trying to be realistic. (lol) Let's see if I'll be able to do all of them!

 

Again, happy new year! I hope 2015 will be a better year than 2014. And I hope I'll be able to update my blog more frequently. *sheepish smile* Now, on to 2015!
